Children’s Art Area

The Lubbock Arts Festival takes pride in nurturing young artists through its dedicated Children’s Art Area, presented by Texas Tech Physicians. This area offers engaging activities and educational opportunities, many of which are provided at no cost to attendees.

Local non-profit organizations and retail businesses actively participate, creating a vibrant space with KID STOPS booths where children can take part in on-site art projects and interactive activities. Just look for the STOP SIGNS! When visiting these KID STOPS, children have a commemorative card that can be stamped and redeemed for a unique prize at the KIDS FEST STORE.

Additionally, mobile ARTCARTS distribute art projects that can be taken home and completed as a family. Over 40 regional schools participate in the “Young Artist & Young Writer’s Competition,” with entries for the competition displayed in the Children’s Art Area.

The Festival also features balloon sculptures known as “Selfie Stations” to enhance the lively atmosphere – so smile and share your photos on social media! #lubbockarts #lubbockartsfestival

The Children’s Art Area, presented by Texas Tech Physicians, at the Lubbock Arts Festival has received the “Best Children’s Programming” award from the Texas Festivals & Events Association.
