Mrs. Dipsworth embodies the essence of a fairy godmother-style character, exuding a larger-than-life presence and offering an incredibly interactive experience. She selects and reads stories curated to match the current theme or curriculum, as chosen by teachers, librarians, or hosts. To elevate the overall experience, Mrs. Dipsworth incorporates songs and dances that harmonize with the chosen story, delivering it in a manner reminiscent of a spirited grandmother’s storytelling.

Since 2011, Mrs. Dipsworth has been captivating children with her enchanting storytime sessions. Notably, several school districts, including Fort Worth ISD, Irving ISD, Aledo ISD, Dallas ISD, Keller ISD, and more, have incorporated her regular visits into their extended curriculum. The transformation from her regular live performance persona to the fun and engaging character of Mrs. Dipsworth is beautifully executed by Dallas-Fort Worth native, Sheran Goodspeed Keyton.

Sheran Goodspeed Keyton boasts a remarkable career spanning over 30 years as a professional actor and singer. Her performances have graced numerous venues throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex, and she has undertaken national and international tours. Over the past 15 years, Sheran Goodspeed Keyton has established meaningful partnerships with various local arts organizations, contributing to the creation of original works. Notably, she has developed a strong artistic affiliation with Big Thought and has been a fixture in the Dallas ISD for the past 14 years.

Mrs. Dipsworth will perform during the “School Day” segment of the Lubbock Arts Festival, where 1,700 2nd-grade students are welcomed to the event. “School Day” is an outreach initiative by the Lubbock Arts Alliance, providing free access to the Festival and special performances before its public opening on Friday of the Arts Festival weekend.
